I have asked that the swimming pool gates be fixed so that no children can be harmed. This is not a condo law but rather a city code. We are ALL liable if a child is allowed access to a broken gate and is harmed. The following is a link to the city code relating to swimming pools;
http://www.municode.com/resources/gateway.asp?sid=9&pid=10938
It states:
(3) Pool fencing: All pools shall be enclosed by a permanent fence at least four (4) feet in height with all access gates being self-closing and self-latching or be completely enclosed by a screen enclosure, the exterior door of which to be self-closing and self-latching.
Not only are some of the gates broken, and have been for some time, but none of them are self closing (with a spring to close them behind you.) On several occasions children have gained access to the swimming pool area due to gates being left open. Please lets get this fixed before someone is hurt and we are sued!! It is a simple thing to fix.
Pool Gates
Go buy some springs and install them if you have such a problem, it should take around the same amount of time your post did plus about $10! Have a great day! Fred
